Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? We have answers.
How does Price Guard work?
It's simple! You upload a photo of your receipt. Our AI securely scans the items and the purchase date. We then monitor the store's sales flyers for any price drops on the items you bought. If we find a match within the store's price adjustment window, we'll notify you with the potential savings amount.
What stores are currently supported?
Currently, we support Costco and IKEA. We are working hard to add more of your favorite stores shortly!
Is my data secure?
Absolutely. Security is our top priority. Your account information is managed by a secure, industry-standard authentication provider. Your receipt images and data are linked only to your unique user ID and are not shared with any third parties. We do not sell your data, and we never will.
What should I do if a receipt fails to upload or parse?
Most parsing errors are due to a blurry image or poor lighting. Please try taking another photo in a well-lit area, ensuring the entire receipt is flat and in focus. If the app says it "Could not read the date," that's a key sign that a clearer picture is needed.
How soon should I upload my receipts?
As soon as possible! Most stores have a limited price adjustment window (e.g., 15 or 30 days from the date of purchase). Uploading your receipt immediately ensures you have the maximum amount of time to catch a price drop. If you upload an expired receipt, our app will let you know that it can no longer be tracked.
How do I claim my savings at the store?
When you get a savings notification, you will typically need to go to the customer service desk at the store. Show them your original receipt and the current sale information for the item (which you can often find in the store's app or weekly flyer). Their policies usually require the original receipt for a price adjustment.
